All campers will reside in Granville Towers
JUNIOR ADVANCED
Perfect for the talented soccer
player. This session emphasizes proper technical skills
building the necessary foundation for advanced play.
Tactical group concepts will be introduced or reviewed
appropriately based upon camper skill level. Fun in
learning is achieved through the many small-sided games.
Our goal is to not only teach but develop a passion
for the game. Campers are expected to have played soccer
before coming to this camp. Campers will be divided
into two age groups in order to make camp teams (U-12
and U-14). Some campers will be moved on the first day
of camp based upon ability.
JUNIOR ELITE
Classic, travel, select, Super
Y, and ODP players will find this camp challenging and
a valuable experience. Core principles of attacking
and defending will be taught and practiced. Small-sided
games provide a competitive environment and quality
time on the field for the aspiring young player. Staff
will be top-quality for the developing soccer player.
SENIOR ADVANCED
Our first senior camp is for
all seasoned soccer players. Coaches at this session are one of the main reasons we have a high rate
of returning campers. Most of our coaches, all of whom
are career soccer coaches, are also Carolina Soccer
Camp veterans whose experience help campers have an
overall positive experience. This session will get campers
ready for the next level and further those who are already
there. Our staff, along with the curriculum, will make
this camp a great learning experience for all advanced
soccer players and make it fun, too!
SENIOR ELITE
It is recommended that this session's
applicants play on a select/classic/travel/premier,
Super Y, or ODP team. The idea behind this session
is to bring in top coaches for campers who are looking
to play soccer in college. Details of who will be coaching
will be posted as we receive those confirmations, however,
they staff will be college head and/or assistant coaches
from D-I, II, and III. Coach Bolowich will
personally coach various training sessions during the Senior ELITE camp.
MEALS
All-you-can-eat
meals, three times a day are provided in Granville Towers
West buildling. Click here for information on the AGORA cafeteria. Meals are varied enough to accommodate
all dietary needs, including vegetarians and those with
specific food allergies. The dining hall is a great social
place as other camps share the facility. Last year, campers
enjoyed seeing Coach Hatchell (women's basketball) and
Coach Williams(men's basketball) eating at the dining
hall. Michael Jordan was spotted by campers at Granville
as his son was attending the basketball camp the same
time as our camp.
GOALKEEPER TRAINING
Goalkeeper
training is conducted on the same fields as field player
training, just in its own area with its own goalkeeper
coach. Goalkeepers will play in small-sided games in the
morning and afternoon as well as in the evening full-sided
matches. Goalkeepers can room and do dine with fieldplayers.
GROUPS
We will
be happy to accommodate groups requesting to train and
room together. Groups of 8 or more will not be placed
on the same team but will be split in half for the
purposes of camp team formation. Groups of 7 or less will
be placed on the same camp team if the campers' ages allow,
meaning we will not place a 14 year old on a 17 year old
team or vice versa. We will do our best to accommodate
all rooming requests including rooming groups together.
Please submit a group roster when applying. There are
no group discounts.
TEAMS
We
will be happy to accommodate teams requesting to train
and room together. To be considered a full team for the
purposes of forming a camp team, we must have no less
than 12 of your team's field players enroll on one roster.
If the roster number drops below 12 before camp begins,
your team will be considered a group and, therefore, will
be subject to the rules for groups when we form our camp
teams. There are no team discounts.
ROOMATES AND TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
We understand
the importance of being able to room with a friend. We
take a lot of pride and time to make sure the dormitory
living arrangements are satisfactory to all. We cannot
guarantee roommate requests but we do an exceptional job
at making it all work out and 99% of our campers get to
room with whom they have chosen. There are a limited number
of triples available upon request: first come, first serve.
We will also place roommates on the same camp team unless
otherwise requested. In the event friends do not end up
as roommates, we will try to accommodate teaming them
up together when possible and placing them in a room as
near as possible to their friend. Also, we cannot know
before rooming lists are made (end of May) whether a camper
has received their roommate request or not. Talk to your
intended roommate first to make sure you request each
other and that you both enroll. Room and team assignment
confirmation postcards will be sent about a week before
Camp starts.
HOW DO WE MAKE CAMP TEAMS?
We
separate campers by age. After the initial evaluation
by coaches, Coach Bolowich will move campers up or down
in age groups according to their abilitiy in order to
balance out camp teams and ensure a positive camp experience
for every camper.
KEY AND DAMAGE DEPOSIT
There will
be a required $65 key deposit and damage deposit due before
all residential camps commence. This can either be in
the form of a check or credit card authorization. $25
is the cost of the key if it is lost. The appropriate
deposit will be refunded at check-out provided your son
turns in his key and/or is not responsible for any damage.
The amount of the deposit is based upon what camp is charged
for damage.
