PREPARING YOUR SON FOR CAMP
Preparedness makes for a better overall Camp
experience. Your camper should be physically ready for the demands
of training three times a day, which means well-rested and fit.
Mentally and emotionally, you can prepare your son for Camp just
by talking to him about both your hopes and concerns. While your
son is at Camp, we want him to talk to us; communication is key.
Campers can tell their concern to either his coach, the dorm supervisor,
the trainer, a counselor, or Coach Bolowich. We are prepared to
find an answer to anything from homesickness to not getting along
with a roommate/teammate to how to dial a phone or do some laundry.
All discussions will be kept appropriately confidential. You should
both realize that Camp is not a country club and that adaptability
is essential to everyone’s enjoyment. We are, of course, prepared
to provide the best possible environment for your son at Camp.
